The Honorable Mayor and Council Members:
RECENE&
CHULA VISTA CITY C>LEINK
My name is MudhafarJarjees, and I own Square Bottle Liquor in Chula Vista.
I strongly support the ALPR program. My reasons for supporting the program
are to ensure the safety of our communities and for the welfare of the
people. I believe the city is much safer when CVPD is better equipped. The
technology of this program provides additional tools to ensure the safety of
the whole community.
The people of the City of Chula Vista need to feel protected. Our police
department should not be without the program that allows them additional
security for the sake of the city.
I am asking the mayor and council members to continue the ALPR program
and I thank you for your leadership.
Sincerely,
MudhafarJarjees

My name is Sam Salem. I have owned and operated H St. ARCO AMP for many years in Chula Vista. I
have many other businesses indifferent areas throughout San Diego County but the Arco in Chula Vista
is what I am most concerned about right now.
Since the Automated License Plate Recognition Program is in question of being cancelled, I have to
really consider the safety of my employees and my business. Without the extra measures in place, I am
unsure of how safe the area might be. Reason being, if you have ever been to the Chula Vista area on H
Street then you would know how busy it can get throughout the day especially for my gas station being
by the trolley station. I am sure I speak for many when I say that removing such program would increase
the possibility of criminal activity and ensue fear and rage within the community. I question whether or
not that is in the best interest of the city.
As a family man and business owner, my priority is the wellbeing of those close to me. That is why I am
in support of the ALPR program because I believe that CVPD should have the equipment needed to
continue protecting the City of Chula Vista effectively.
I am asking the City Council to support the ALPR program.
Warm Regards,

Dear Honorable Mayor and Council Members,
My name is Salam Zora, owner of Supreme Gas and Bobar Market #8 in Chula Vista. My businesses have
resided in Chula Vista for many years.
I am writing this letter in support of the Automated License Plate Recognition Program.
The wellness and success of my businesses can only happen when the city is safe. That comes from our
local Police Department having the proper tools and technology they need to efficiently do theirjobs.
I feel safer knowing there are additional services being utilized to protect my family, the community and
my businesses at all times. CVPD should be able to monitor and protect the city and all its citizens and
businesses, it's the right thing to do.
Please, continue this program and let the CVPD continue to combat crime and ensure community safety.
Warm Regards,
Salain Zora
