Travel Advisory for Non - Essential Travel
* Californians are encouraged to stay home or in their
region and avoid non-essential travel .
• Avoiding travel can reduce the risk of virus transmission and
bringing the virus back to California .
• Persons arriving in California from other states or
countries, including returning California residents, should
practice self-quarantine for 14 days after arrival .
• Limit interactions to immediate household .
• Recommendation does not apply for essential travel .
Host/attend remote events with family and friends—virtual
Thanksgiving dinner, sharing recipes, playing online games.
Avoid carnivals, festivals, live-entertainment, and in-person turkey
trots as dose interactions increase risks of infection .
Consider safer alternatives that include shopping online versus in-
person for Black Friday, donating food to charities at drive-through
mobile pantries, or visiting a local park/preserve to celebrate Green
Friday.
Ensure Personal Protection Measures are continually followed —get
a flu shot.
