Subject: AMBULANCE SERVICE FOR THE CITY
I have read the email sent to each of you by the President of the SWCVCA Theresa Acerro
regarding questions about the transfer of the ambulance contract with the city.
Rather than repeat them I will ask you to refer to her email.
These questions all need to be fully acknowledged before a final decision is made.
While all of the questions are equally important, I find the most glaring the cost of the service rising so
much.
I have had first hand experience with AMR between approx 2015 & 2017. Four calls, all very
professional, helpful, & timely. Two for my husband that resulted in hospitalization, two for a neighbor
with one hospitalization & one death. All calls could not have been handled better nor more
thoroughly. This at less than half the cost of what we are seeing here. (Yes, prices go up but not THIS
much!)
I ask you why change something that works so well to a more expensive, seemingly clumsy operation?
Respectively submitted,
Bettie Lupi,
SWCVCA
