The commenting period will be open shortly after the agenda is published for a particular meeting and will remain open through the meeting, as described below. All comments will be available to the public and the Board of Library Trustees using the eComment portal. All votes were taken by roll call. CALL TO ORDER A Regular Meeting of the Board of Library Trustees of the City of Chula Vista was called to order at 4:03 p.m. in the Civic Center Library, located at 365 F Street, Chula Vista, California and by teleconference. ROLL CALL PRESENT: Trustees Moreno, Rubel, Swanson, and Chair Ellison ABSENT: None ALSO PRESENT: City Librarian Whatley, Principal Librarian Magbanua, Principal Librarian Sannwald, and Board Secretary Cheung PUBLIC COMMENTS Chair Ellison called for a two-minute pause to allow members of the public to submit any final electronic public comments. Board Secretary Cheung announced that no electronic comments had been received and no comments had been received via email. ACTION ITEMS 1. ELECTION OF REPRESENTATIVE FOR THE FRIENDS OF THE LIBRARY Staff recommends Board of Library Trustees select a Representative for the Friends of the Library Chair Ellison called for a two-minute pause to allow members of the public to submit electronic comments on the item. Board Secretary Cheung announced that no electronic comments had been received and no comments had been received via email. ACTION: Trustee Swanson moved to volunteer as the Representative for the Friends of the Library. Chair Ellison seconded the motion, and it carried, by the following roll call vote: result of vote (4-0).
