I would like the commission to go forward and ask the mayor and all council members to include a paragraph about the Veteran of the Year open nominations in their monthly email newsletters to their constituents. We need their help because no one just stumbles upon the VOY webpage. Suggested wording: "Veteran of the Year nominations are being received by the city's Veterans Commision. If you know of a deserving veteran that lives or works in Chula Vista, you can get information and nominate them by completing the nomination form at: https: / /www.chulavistaca.P-ov/residents/veteran- community/veteran-of-the-year The deadline for nominations is June 30." Can we discuss and vote on this? Bill Sears
