Dated: i a Signed: U, Page 2 1 Board of Library Trustees Agenda January 20, 2021 DRAFT MINUTES OF A REGULAR MEETING OF THE BOARD OF LIBRARY TRUSTEES OF THE CITY OF CHULA VISTA November 18, 2020 Via Teleconference 4:00 p.m. Pursuant to the Governor of the State of California's Executive Order N-29-20, and in the interest of public health and safety during the COVID-19 pandemic, members of the Board of Library Trustees and staff participated in this meeting via teleconference. All votes were taken by roll call. CALL TO ORDER A Regular Meeting of the Board of Library Trustees of the City of Chula Vista was called to order at 4:09 p.m. in the Civic Center Library, located at 365 F Street, Chula Vista, California and by teleconference. ROLL CALL PRESENT: Trustees Moreno, Rubel, Swanson, and Chair Ellison ABSENT: None ALSO PRESENT: City Librarian Whatley, Principal Librarian Magbanua, Principal Librarian Sannwald, and Board Secretary Cheung PUBLIC COMMENTS Chair Ellison called for a two -minute pause to allow members of the public to submit any final electronic public comments. Board Secretary Cheung announced that no electronic comments had been received and no comments had been received via email. ACTION ITEMS 1. ELECTION OF VICE -CHAIR FOR REMAINDER OF FY21 Staff recommends Board of Library Trustees select a Vice -Chair for the remainder of FY21 Chair Ellison called for a two -minute pause to allow members of the public to submit electronic comments on the item. Board Secretary Cheung announced that no electronic comments had been received and no comments had been received via email. ACTION: Chair Ellison moved to elect Trustee Rubel as Vice -Chair for the remainder of FY21. Trustee Moreno seconded the motion, and it carried, by the following roll call vote: result of vote (4-0).
