This is a plus for the community, for the City,in terms of economicimpact,in terms of environmental issues and really cleaning up theareaandencouragingmoreprivateinvestmentinthatarea,so I will behappytosupportthisproject" 4 City of Chula Vista Planning Commission Hearing July 22, 2020 Commissioner Torres "I strongly support this project. It's the right project in the right location. This is my neighborhood; this is my hood. I don't live to far from this area. As stated in the staff report, the primary tenant has already signed a lease to locate nearby… For this project, I don't have any problem with the minute decrease in available industrial land. For this project, this is the right project in the right neighborhood. I think we should support it." 5 City of Chula Vista Planning Commission Hearing July 22, 2020 Chair Gutierrez "I'm familiar with the area...I can tell you that this is such a catalyst for that community, and it is just such a beautiful and thoughtful project. I really think this is a good change, I think it's a positive change, and can hopefully create additional projects in the neighborhood that can bring enhanced architectural features... And of course being that we are in a housing crisis and a public health crisis, I do think that the additional housing units is a really great opportunity for the community, so I also support this project and I will make a motion to approve this project." 6 City of Chula Vista Planning Commission Hearing July 22, 2020 Thank you all, for all of your hard work! 7
