Overall Sentiment Agenda Item: eComments for 13. 20-0485 PUBLIC COMMENTS RECEIVED for December 1, 2020 Overall Sentiment Alex McDaniel Location: 91910, Chula Vista Submitted At: 4:22pm 11-29-20 When San Diego County moved to the purple tier which prompted the re-closure of indoor operations and instated the 10 p.m. curfew to limit the spread of covid-19, many small businesses continue to find themselves once again feeling the weight of such restrictions. The moratorium expired September 30, 2020 when businesses could safely reopen and recovery seemed to be on the horizon. We are once again substantially impacted by having to comply with the new state mandate and believe that reinstating a rent moratorium is critical to the survival of small business in Chula Vista. On behalf of Third Avenue business owners and the community, we are asking the City Council to reinstate the moratorium until January 30, 2021. Thank you. Bob Strahl Location: 91902, Bonita Submitted At: 9:53am 11-27-20 Green Fee Structure Chula Vista Municipal Golf Course People who live in this CITY, pay taxes to this City, vote in this CITY and mostly shop in this CITY are RESIDENTS. Currently, a NON RESIDENT can and does pay a ONE TIME fee of $25 to purchase a card that allows that NON RESIDENT to pay the same green fee as a RESIDENT. A NON RESIDENT senior does not have to pay the one time fee of $25, but pay the same rate as a RESIDENT senior. I urge Council to consider this issue in any proposed green fee increase.
