IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE EXECUTIVE ORDER, THE PUBLIC MAY VIEW THE MEETING ONLINE AND NOT IN THE HEALTHY CHULA VISTA ADVISORY COMMISSION. The commenting period will be open shortly after the agenda is published for a particular meeting and will remain open through the meeting, as described below. All comments will be available to the public and the Healthy Chula Vista Advisory Commission using the eComment portal. Comments must be received prior to the time the Chair calls for the close of the commenting period. Comments received after such time will not be considered by the Healthy Chula Vista Advisory Commission. State law generally prohibits the Board/Commission from discussing or taking action on any issue not included on the agenda, but, if appropriate, the Board/Commission may schedule the topic for future discussion or refer the matter to staff. ELECTION OF CHAIR AND VICE CHAIR FOR FISCAL YEAR 2020/2021 Staff recommendation: Commissioners nominate and elect the Chair and Vice Chair for the period of July 1, 2020 - June 30, 2021. 2. MENTAL HEALTH DURING COVID-19 A presentation will be provided with a summary of current mental health statistics and an overview of available resources to assist families and individuals. Staff recommendation: Commission hear the presentation and provide direction to staff as appropriate. 3. GROWTH MANAGEMENT QUALITY OF LIFE METRICS Kimberly Elliott, Facilities Financing Manager, will provide an overview of the Growth Management Oversight Commission’s efforts to establish new quality of life metrics and solicit feedback from the Commission on potential public health metrics. Staff recommendation: Commission hear the presentation and provide feedback to staff. 4. E-CIGARETTE POLICY WORK AND YOUTH PREVENTION Stacey Kurz, Senior Project Coordinator will provide an overview of a work plan to address youth use of vaping products and the Commission will provide guidance on policy actions. CHULA VISTA HEALTH HEROES Stacey Kurz will present materials for the first annual Health Heroes award and the commission will establish a schedule for the award cycle.
