RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CHULA
VISTA APPROVING AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF CHULA
VISTA AND McGEE MAINTENANCE FOR CUSTODIAL MAINTENANCE
AT LAUDERBACH COMMUNITY CENTER AND APPROPRIATING
$3,030 THEREFOR,
AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE SAID AGREEMENT
The City Council of the City of Chula Vista does hereby
resolve as follows:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the
City of Chula Vista that that certain agreement between THE CITY
OF CHULA VISTA, a municipal corporation, and McGee Maintenance
for custodial maintenance at Lauderbach Community Center
dated the 14th day of January , 1986, a copy of which is
attached ~ and incorporated herein, the same as though fully
set forth herein be, and the same is hereby approved.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the sum of $3,030 be, and
the same is hereby appropriated from the unappropriated balance
of the General Fund for said purpose.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor of the City of
Chula Vista be, and he is hereby authorized and directed to
execute said agreement for and on behalf of the City of Chula
Vista.

AGREEMENT
THIS AGREEMENT, made and entered into this 14th day
of January , 19 86, by and between the City of Chu-~l~--ITsta, a
Charter City, State of Cal-l~-6-rnia, hereinafter called the "City" and McGee
Maintenance, hereinafter called the "Contractor";
WITNESSETH:
WHEREAS, the Contractor declares that he has carefully examined the
specifications for "CUSTODIAL ~UkINTENANCE OF LAUDERBACH COMMUNITY CENTER"
(Exhibit "A"), and that he has examined the location of the proposed work;
WHEREAS, the Contractor hereby proposes to furnish all labor and do
all work required to complete the said work in accordance with said
specifications for the lump sum of $3,030.
WHEREAS, the Contractor and City agree that the Contractor shall
operate as an independent contractor in carrying out the terms of this
agreement.
WHEREAS, the Contractor hereby agrees to indemnity, hold harmless and
defend the City for any liability arising out of the performance of this
contract due to the acts of its agents and employees. This shall include
liability related to Worker's Compensation.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, the parties hereto have executed this Agreement
the day and year first above written.

EXHIBIT "A"
CITY OF CHULA VISTA
SPECIFICATIONS
Furnish custodial services for Lauderbach Community Center at 333 Oxford
Avenue, Chula Vista under supervision of Recreation Superintendent of City of
Chula Vista for the period Janua~ l, 1986, to June $0, 1986. It is estimated
that approximately $505/month will be required for the Lauderbach Community
Center maintenance contract.
GENERAL REQUIREMENTS
Routine - (Includes all interior rooms and closets)
Contractor to furnish all labor and materials necessary to accomplish the
following each Monday, Tuesday, and Frid~:
1. Empty all waste baskets each visit.
2. Clean all ash trays and desk tops' void of work material each visit.
3. Do all necessary dusting each visit.
4. Vacuum all carpeted areas each visit.
5. Dust mop all tile areas.
6. Wet mop all tile areas.
7. Clean and sanitize all restrooms each visit.
8. Clean windows weekly.
9. Do anything else necessary to maintain a clean satisfactory job.
Contactor to furnish all labor and materials necessary to accomplish the
following after each community hall rental:
1. Clean community hall as required to include floor maintenance.
2. Clean lobby as required.
3. Clean kitchen to include refrigerator, stove, sinks and inspect all
storage areas for left-over food.
4. Restrooms to include sinks, toilets and urinals.
5. Clean walls one time per week and outside area (building and patio) after
each party.
6. Clean windows after each party.

The City, for these additional services, agrees to pay the amount of $75 per
function.
It will be the responsibility of Parks and Recreation staff to inform the
Contractor prior to each function and in turn, contract the City Finance
Department for the release of each payment.
METHOD OF PAYMENT
The Contractor will be paid monthly, in arrears, for work performed
satisfactorily under this contract. By the fifth day of each month, the
Contractor shall submit a billing in accordance with the contract price for
the work performed, and shall become the basis for payment.
Price is $505 per month plus $75 per rental function.
Payable monthly upon receipt of statement.
Either party, upon (30) days written notice, may terminate contract.
