As a resident who supports the families being affected by this, the environment and air quality of Chula Vista, I do
not support the Automotive Repair Facility being built right next to a community.

Good afternoon Council members:
My name is Habril Gamboa, along with my family, we live in the Robinhood Pt. Neighborhood on Bluff Point Ct.
which is near to 1880 Auto Park Place where an Auto Collision Center is proposed to be built. I along with my
fellow neighbors OPPOSE a Collision Center being built next to our homes. We are highly concerned about the
noise and air pollution negatively impacting the quality of life in our neighborhood. I am sure dear Council you do
not want to live next to a business that is basically dealing with carcinogens. What guarantees do we have that no
paint chemicals will be emitted into our surrounding air negatively impacting our health or that run off water with
carcinogens will not pollute the surrounding water wells and convert this area into a Superfund Site? There are
already other businesses surrounding us that contribute to all the environmental hazards that are mentioned
above and adding another businesses to our neighborhood will only add to the impact from these. This proposed
Auto Collision Center would be too close to our Neighborhood and too close to our kids, our elderly, our working
class citizens who have the right to live in an environment free of further pollutants. Another side effect of this
project is that it will considerably reduce the property value of our homes, this is not right. Please reconsider
moving this project to another location. Come and visit our neighborhood, see it with your own eyes. Thank you.

My name is Juan Arrizon and along with my wife and 4 kids, we live in the Robinhood Pt. Neighborhood on
Pelican Point Ct. which sits adjacent to the North of 1880 Auto Park Place where an Auto Collision Center is
proposed to be built. I along with our fellow neighbors OPPOSE a Collision Center being built next to our homes.

personally, I am available and will be more than happy to show you our location and how close our homes sit next
to the proposed site.

Dear Council Members:
My name is Monica Arrizon and I live right above the proposed site for the auto collision center. I want to voice
my opposition to this development. At the previous meeting where Mr. Romero presented for this project, he
presented with misleading and inaccurate information. I am writing as a concerned home owner because the
reality of the noise increase, the chemicals being released into our community, the traffic increase, and
environmental impact from the already existing businesses will leave a permanent carbon imprint. As a tax paying
resident and concerned individual, I urge you to oppose this development because it was presented with false
information and most importantly because of the permanent irreversible environmental damage that it will
produce.

Good Evening Council Members
My name up is Mark Aviles and I completely OPPOSE the Auto Collision and Repair Business which will be
developed next to our families residence. This new business will destroy the peacefulness to a minimum of 29
homes of this community with Noise Pollution. We have followed the convoluted, deceitful and shameful process
from the day we received the mail notice.
First Mr. Romero, assistant planner, has done a bias and a poor job in representing the impact of this new project
on our community regarding NOISE POLLUTION. Mr. Romero conveniently omitted the proximity of our
community and specifically our home to the proposed lot in all of his presentation photos. As commissioner Nava
stated in the May 27th meeting “Auto collision facilities are extremely loud; I know since I worked in one in my
younger years”(paraphrase). Additionally, commissioner De La Rosa admitted NOT BEING FAMILIAR or READ
the proposed project but voted yes. Chair Gutierrez made statements as AN EXPERT but it is obvious that he
can’t distinguish between freeway noise resembles ocean waves and bagging metal noise.
Secondly, it is shameful that 29 homes in this community ( approx 115 individuals) will be impacted for the
foreseeable future with the allotted 4 mins from this commission and it’s JUSTIFIED WITHOUT ANY DUE
DILIGENCE. The proposal states 20 permanent jobs but affects 115 Chula Vista taxpaying voting residents
directly.
