HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso 2020-162MINUTES RESOLUTION NO. 2020-162 MINUTES RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CHULA VISTA TABLING ACTION ON POTENTIAL CHARTER AMENDMENTS RELATED TO BOARD AND COMMISSION MEMBERSHIP QUALIFICATIONS, RESIDENCY REQUIREMENTS FOR THE ELECTED CITY ATTORNEY, VOTE-BY-MAIL ELECTION PROVISIONS, ELECTED OFFICIAL SUSPENSION REGULATIONS, AND OTHER VARIOUS REVISIONS, UNTIL THE NEXT CONSOLIDATED ELECTION CYCLE At its meeting of July 14, 2020, the City Council of the City of Chula Vista took action, based on the information provided by staff and the Charter Review Commission, to table the potential charter amendments presented regarding board and commission membership qualifications, residency requirements for the elected city attorney, vote-by-mail election provisions, elected official suspension regulations, and other various revisions, for future consideration at the next consolidated election cycle. Approved as to form by Glen R.
