Honorable Mayor Salas,
I would like this to go on record I drove buy City Hall on June 19, 2020 and didn’t see the Juneteenth Flag Flying.
I reached out to Council Members Jill Galvez, John McCann & Mike Diaz and asked why and was given different
answers I also attached a picture flag.
I would like to propose the June 19 be declared a City Holiday for all city employees and that the flag be raised for
the Day of and for seven days after if possible.
It is a great way to teach generations to come and to honor those that were affected.
Respectively
Richard Roy
As times they are a changin ~BD
The flag is the brainchild of activist Ben Haith, founder of the National Juneteenth Celebration Foundation
(NJCF). Haith created the flag in 1997 with the help of collaborators, and Boston-based illustrator Lisa Jeanne
Graf brought their vision to life.

Hi my name is Norma Avila, I am a RLA graduate and resident of Chula Vista. I have lived in the southwest area
of Chula Vista for 28 years. I would like for you to take into consideration the lack of sidewalks on Naples St,
between 3rd and 4th Street. This street is not walkable, especially when it rains, this community improvement will
benefit the kids that walk to school, residents and also shoppers making their way to nearby businesses.
Thank you, I’m looking forward to our continued partnership with the City of Chula Vista.

My name is Jeannette Aguilar and I am a graduate of RLA Chula Vista program and a member of the community
for 19 years in which all this time I have lived in the district #4. I hereby ask you to take into consideration
providing financial support for the project in which our RLA group, considered it to be of benefit to our community.
The project I'm talking about is putting a stool on Naples Street between third and fourth avenues. With their
support we would benefit those who walk through those streets daily but especially the families that reside there
since in rainy season there are large puddles of water almost forcing anyone who walks or by car to do so and put
themselves at great risk of being run over. Thank you very much for your attention, my warmest greetings
Jeannette Aguilar.

We are in opposition of the proposed Auto Collision and Repair Shop that was presented on 5/27/20 at the
Planning Meeting. The City Planner, Oscar Romero willfully omitted important facts in regards to the current
business that already reside to the East and West of this proposed lot located at 1880 Auto Park Place, Chula
Vista Ca 91911. Currently there are two very active businesses consisting of an Amazon delivery lot with
approximately 80-100 cars that operate daily as well as a car dealership/man lift rentals that also operates daily.
This proposed business sits directly next to my home at the base of a hill on top of Super Fund land. My
community, Robinhood Point consists of nearly 200 homes and multiple residents have submitted e-mails and
letters attention Stephen Padilla district 3. I have reached out to Stephen Padilla’s office, Kelly Broughton, Gary
Halbert and the City Attorney. Currently there are at least eight vechicle repair shops within a five mile radius and
myself, the community residents and the HOA board oppose this business and have appealed. Thank you

The MND FOR 576 Moss should be an EIR that analyzes financial effects. Kleen Blast Abrasions has been at the
site since 1962. They are an essential business for the Navy and the ship yards.. They can not move. They need
the rail to receive the raw materials to make what the Navy and the ship yards need for their boats.. 5 other
business have been their nearly 30 years as well and can't find other sites, but Kleen is essential to the Navy and
the ship yards and has to have the rail service.None of this was ANALYZED.

Dear Madam Mayor and Council members, I want to express my gratitude for your support of the Chula Vista
Community Collaborative and our network of five Family Resource Centers. CDBG funding has made it possible
for us to assist hundreds of families with emergency food and other services. The partnership with the City has
been to the benefit of the thousands of families we assist every year. Your dedication and commitment to Chula
Vista families is admirable. I will be retiring from my position as the Director of the CVCC at the end of the week.
It has been a pleasure to work for such a caring City and City leadership. The new Director, Brendaly Rodriguez
will reach out to you soon to continue the wonderful partnership. Margarita Holguin, Director- Chula Vista
Community Collaborative
