Warning: External Re: Application that has been filed with the City for an Auto Collision Center located at 1880 Email Auto Park Place. Dear Mr. Steve Padilla As a resident of District 3, I would like to participate in the upcoming meeting on 6/23/20 and would like that my written statement be included in the Bench documents for the City Council members. I live in the community of Robinhood Point that is adjacent to the North to 1880 Auto Park Place where an Auto Collision Center would be built. I oppose a Collision Center being built near our homes. We are concerned about the loud sounds this will bring, also air pollution with all the paint emissions all this having an impact on the quality of life in our neighborhood. This proposed Auto Collision Center would be too close to our Neighborhood. I would like to ask you to reconsider and move this project to another location. If the Auto collision Center projects stays; how can you assure to the Robinhood will not be affected with noise and air pollution? I am in opposition of the proposed collision center business to be built at 1880 Auto Park Place,Chula Vista CA. At the 5/27/20 Planning Commission Hearing, information was not properly submitted to city representatives in regards to businesses that are already in existence in that area and the commissioners voted with only partial facts. The link provided above offers some particular insights that should be considered for the proposed business type in view of the current businesses operating in an area that was once considered a SuperFund pollution site. My name is Juan Arrizon and along with my wife and 4 kids,we live in the Robinhood Point Neighborhood on Pelican Point Court which sits adjacent to the North of 1880 Auto Park Place where an Auto Collision Center is proposed to be built. My wife and I along with our fellow neighbors oppose a Collision Center being built near our homes. We are highly concerned about the noise and air pollution negatively impacting the quality of life in our neighborhood.Would you want to live next to a business that is basically dealing with carcinogens? What guarantees do we have that no paint chemicals will be emitted into our surrounding air negatively impacting our health or that run off water with carcinogens will not pollute the surrounding water wells and convert this area into a Superfund Site? The Auto Collision Center water and emissions have to end up somewhere? There are already other businesses surrounding us that contribute to all the environmental hazards that are mentioned above and adding another businesses to our neighborhood will only add to the impact from these. This proposed Auto Collision Center would be too close to our Neighborhood and too close to our kids, our elderly, our working class citizens who have the right to live in an environment free of further pollutants. Please reconsider moving this project to another location! If you would like to speak with me personally, I am available and will be more than happy to show you our location and how close our homes sit next to the proposed site. Respectfully, Juan & Monica Arrizon ( Robinhood Point Homeowner 1
