Survey Details Pagel Please provide comments below regarding development of the Fiscal Year 2020-21 City budget. First Name(optional) Segan Last Name(optional) Helle Email Address(optional) Zip Code 91911 Comments Our current budget allocates a significant amount of funding to police. In a time where a lot of our community is facing economic crisis, and a time in which the police time and time again have proven unable to maintain the community's safety and trust, I highly encourage our city's representatives to reconsider the level of funding allocated to the police department, and instead think abut how funding can go to assisting our community members facing housing and food insecurity, mental health crises, and our floundering public educational systems. It is high time we invest in a future where community safety means fully responding to structural inequalities that create and maintain intergenerational poverty and racial inequality.
