Home My WebLink AboutReso 1986-12406 RESOLUTION NO. 1 ?40fi RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CHULA VISTA APPROVING AMENDMENT TO CONTRACT NO. 295 WITH THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA, DEPARTMENT OF YOUTH AUTHORITY, FOR THE SERVICES OF BILLY COX, SR., AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE SAID AMENDMENT The City Council of the Ci ty of Chula Vista does hereby resolve as follows: WHEREAS, the contract with the State of California, Department of Youth Authority, for the services of Billy Cox, Sr. needs to be amended to reflect an extension for a third year as well as changes in salary and benefits. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Chula Vista that that certain Amendment to Contract No. 295 with the State of California, Department of Youth Authority, for the services of Billy Cox, Sr., dated the ~ day of March, 1986, a copy of which is attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference as if set forth in full, be, and the same is hereby approved. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor of the City of Chula Vista be, and he is hereby authorized and directed to execute said Amendment for and on behalf of the City of Chula Vista. Amend paragraph four, page 1, to read: "WHEREAS, City is vitally interested in participating in the project as a staff development opportunity and is thereby willing to permit said Sergeant Billy Cox to contribute his full time and efforts toward the successful completion of such a project from May 1,1984 through April 30,1987." 2. Amend page 2, number 1, second paragraph, first sentence, to read: "The salary is more specifically set forth on the individual salary account, attached as amended Exhibit A, and by this reference incorporated as though fully set forth." 3. Amend number 2, page 2, first sentence, to re~d: "The total amount to be reimbursed CITY for all claims hereunder shall not exceed $164,360.00." 4. Amend paragraph number 6, page 5, second sentence, to read: "This agreement shall be binding effective May 1,1984 through April 30,1987." All other terms and conditions of the original agreeme~ shall remain in full force and effect. .
