RESOLUTION NO. 12563
RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CHULA VISTA ORDERING THE VACATION OF A PORTION
OF PUBLIC ALLEY NORTH OF PALOMAR STREET
BETWEEN TRENTON AVENUE AND INDUSTRIAL BOULEVARD
The City Council of the City of Chula Vista does hereby
resolve as follows:
WHEREAS, by Resolution NO. 12528, adopted on the 17th
day of June, 1986, notice of intention to vacate a portion of a
public alley north of Palomar Street between Trenton Avenue and
Industrial Boulevard in the City of Chula Vista was given, and
WHEREAS, Tuesday, the 8th day of July, 1986, at 7:00
p.m., in the Council Chambers, City of Chula Vista, 276 Fourth
Avenue was fixed at the time and place for hearing any objections
to such closing and vacating, and
WHEREAS, there is no present or prospective need for
said alley because it serves only one property, SDG&E, and SDG&E
has adequate access due to its frontage on Walnut, Trenton and
Industrial.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of
the City of Chula Vista finds that that certain portion of public
alley north of Palomar Street between Trenton Avenue and
Industrial Boulevard, more particularly described in Exhibit "A",
attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference as if set
forth in full, has no present or prospective need because it
serves only one property owner, SDG&E, and SDG&E has adequate
access due to its frontage on Walnut, Trenton and Industrial, and
said alley is hereby vacated.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that that certain easement for
water purposes maintained by the Sweetwater Authority be, and the
same is hereby reserved from the vacation.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk of the City
of Chula Vista be, and she is hereby directed to forward a copy
of this resolution to the San Diego County Recorder.
