C Chula Vista, California to consider the item(s) on this agenda. SPECIAL MEETING OF THE CITY OF CHULA VISTA CIVIL SERVICE COMMISSION May 29, 2019 HR Conference Room B129 5:15 p.m. Public Services North – Bldg. C 276 Fourth Avenue CALL TO ORDER ROLL CALL: Commissioners Carbuccia, Gonzales, Fish, Co-Chair Starr and Chair Gersten CONSENT CALENDAR (Items 1-3) The Commission will enact the Consent Calendar staff recommendations by one motion, without discussion, unless a Commissioner, a member of the public, or staff requests that an item be removed for discussion. Items pulled from the Consent Calendar will be discussed immediately following the Consent Calendar. 1.APPROVAL OF MINUTES of May 2, 2019 Staff recommendation: Commission approves the minutes. 2.WRITTEN COMMUNICATIONS A.Request for excused absence for Commissioner Carbuccia from the May 2, 2019 regular Civil Service Commission Meeting. City of Chula Vista Boards & Commissions Civil Service Commission Agenda PUBLIC COMMENTS Persons speaking during Public Comments may address the Commission on any agenda matter within the Commission’s jurisdiction that is not listed as an item on the agenda. State law generally prohibits the Commission from discussing or taking action on any issue not included on the agenda, but, if appropriate, the Commission may schedule the topic for future discussion or refer the matter to staff. Comments are limited to three minutes.
