I am in favor of a dog park as an addition to the existing "amenities" that Rohr park offers. I think it would be a great way to foster community. It would provide the residents a medium to share a common interest, their dogs. Most areas are becoming dog friendly and it would be great to have a place close to home where we can not only, get some exercise, attend the library, take our kids to play but in addition, have a place for our fur babies to enjoy themselves as well. r Turner Subject: fiYl CQl'IuytLYfr' FW: Proposed Rohr Dogpark From: John McCann Sent: Tuesday, May 7, 2019 4:50 PM To: Kerry Bigelow <KBigelow@chulavistaca.gov> Subject: Fwd: Proposed Rohr Dogpark Support agenda item #14 5/7/19 Sent from Sam's Whone Begin forwarded message: From: Melissa Baldwin Date: May 7, 2019 at 3:37:56 PM PDT To: "MSalas@chulavistaca.gov" <MSalas@chulavistaca.gov> Cc: "imccann@chulavistaca.gov" <imccann@chulavistaca.eov> Subject: Proposed Rohr Dogpark Good afternoon, I am unable to attend this evening's council meeting where it is my understanding you will be discussing the proposed dog park at Rohr Park. I wanted to voice my support for the park and add my voice to those who would like to see this project happen. As the owner of a large dog, I would love to have a place to bring him that was secure and would give him access to other dogs as well as experience one of our city's beautiful parks. I hope the council will vote to move forward with this proposal. I am unable to attend tonight's Council Meeting but would like to offer my support to the proposed dog park at Rohr Park. Improvements in the community such as the proposed dog park help make Chula Vista a more hospitable and family -friendly place to live. The proposed size of 1.5 acres will help foster community involvement as the park will be able to host a large number of guests. Furthermore, the natural turf is aesthetically pleasing and safe for the animals, and the fencing will keep both patrons of the dog park as well as Rohr Park safe and secure. Finally, the park will be dedicated to the often-times overlooked K9's that serve all of us as Police Dogs and and also in our nation's Military; a fitting tribute. Once again, I am in support of the dog park located at Rohr Park. Thank you for your time Sincerely, Stephen Ablahad
