CITY COUNCIL OF CNULA VISTA, CALIFORNIA
Tuesday, August 26, 1980 - 6:30 p.m. Council Chambers, Public Services Building
ROLL CALL:
Councilmen present: Mayor Hyde, Councilmen Scott, Gillow, Cox, McCandllss
Councilmen absent: None
Staff present: City Manager Cole, City Attorney Lindberg, Development Services
Administrator Robens, Assistant City Manager Asmus
PURPOSE OF MEETING: Mayor Hyde explained that this meeting was continued from the special
meeting held on Saturday, August 23, 1980 regarding the Aztec Bus Lines strike to see what
impact it is having on City services. The staff was directed to come back with contingency
plans as to the reconnnended course of action the Council should take.
STATUS OF STRIKE: Development Services Administrator Roberts stated that Aztec is
fulfilling its contract with the City and with SCOOT. They are providing full service
and will continue to do so in the £oreseeabie future. Staff has been riding the buses
and monitored the service checking on safety and driver performance. It has been sat-
isfactory and it ±s his recommendation that the Council take no action at the present
time.
MSUC (Scott/Gillow) to take no action (accept Development Services Administrator's
recommendation).
ADJOURNmeNT: Mayor Hyde adjourned the meeting at 6:58 p.m. to the regular Council meeting
scheduled for 7:00 p.m.
