Love volunteering at my church in the Christmas program. Our church adopts the poorest of the poor in National City. We change a specific church in National City for one week in December like a Christmas store. We spend one year collecting/ purchasing New items from stores; blankets, socks, underwear, diapers, wipes, sweaters, toys, household items etc. So these families that we adopt in excess of 2,500 people have a Christmas. Every year the demands grow as the populations grows. Volunteering in this capacity brings me the most joy. This project provides me the best understanding what it means to be a ‘Servant Leader.’ 2018-11-28 Agenda Packet Page 50 TysharTurner From:Webmaster Sent:Thursday, February02, 20172:00PM To:CityClerk; Adrianna Hernandez Subject:CityofChulaVista: Citizens' Oversight CommitteeApplication - Webform Categories:B & CAppsforLeah Anewentrytoaform/surveyhasbeensubmitted.
