He is scheduled to attend the next meeting.  RECAP of MEASURE SELECTION PROCESS (10 min) Carla gave brief presentation on how the CCWG process was structured and how the group arrived at its’ final recommendations.  DISCUSSION/ PRESENTATION OF INDIVIDUAL MEASURES (80 min or 8 min per measure, broken down as follows) The order for the presentation of the measures was as follows: Measure # Measure Text CCWG Presenter 1 Adopt community-wide energy code requirements to help buildings exceed the energy-efficiency standards set by California Code of Regulations (CCR) Title 24. Risa/ Carla (alternate) 2 Require City of Chula Vista-licensed businesses to participate in an energy audit of their physical premises every three to four years. Risa/ Carla (alternate) 3 Require large energy-using business to participate in an energy audit very three to four years. Specific guidelines would apply to the building and remodel of "data centers." Carla 4 Require LEED/Architecture2030 or equivalent standards for commercial or industrial projects Leo 5 Require LEED/ Architecture2030, GreenPoint Leo CCWG – Meeting Schedule 2 1/30/08 or equivalent standards for residential projects 6 Require the City facilitate widespread installation of solar photovoltaic (PV) systems on commercial, residential, and municipal facilities by developing and implementing a solar energy conversion program. Richard 7 Recommend that the City of Chula Vista facilitate smart growth around the H Street, E Street, and Palomar Street Trolley Stations. Richard 8 Recommend that the City of Chula Vista coordinate with Otay Water District, San Diego County Water Authority and the Sweetwater Authority on turf lawn conversions for commercial and residential properties. Erin 9 Incorporate AFV (electric, biodiesel, ethanol, hydrogen, CNG) into municipal fleet. Alan 10 Recommend that the City of Chula Vista work with fleets under City authority to influence to expand their use of alternative fuels and alternative fuel vehicles (AFVs). Andrea To read a rough summary of the Working Group comments on specific measures, please see Measure Text Comments from 1.30.08.doc attached. The Working Group decided to combine measures 1, 4 and 5 in to a single measure. In its final form, this combined measure will have three diff erent implementation scenarios, each with a different level of rigor. Measures 2 and 3 will also be combined into a single measure.  NEXT STEPS (15 min) The next Climate Change Working Group Meeting will be held on Monday February 11, 2008 from 3-5 in the Public Works Building Lunch Room.
