IN ATTENDANCE Cesar Rios Alan Ridley Chris Schodowski Leo Miras Erin Pitts Derek Turbide Richard Chavez Michael Meacham Risa Baron Dawn Beintema Laura Hunter Andrea Cook Carla Blackmar Pamela Bensoussan MEASURES EVALUATION MEETING (III)  INTRODUCTIONS Andrea Cook, Climate Change Specialist at CCSC was introduced. She will represent CCSC at future meetings in place of Andrew McAllister.  MEASURES EVALUATION Land Use & Transportation- Preliminary Recommendations After last meeting, staff produced a “Preliminary Recommendations” list summarizing the measures selected by the working group to that point. The working group deliberated over the list, adding additional measures and gauging the feasibility of those already listed.  PUBLIC COMMENT Pamela Bensoussan, Planning Commissioner commented on the importance of leadership in promoting green technology. She also suggested that the City’s power of project approval could be leveraged to promote greener building practices. Laura Hunter, Environmental Health Coalition emphasized the importance of energy conservation to Chula Vista’s GHG reduction efforts. She recommended that the group investigate the CPUC’s Net Zero home plan, the DOE’s Solar City plan, and the possibility of implementing solar through Power Purchase Agreements. CCWG – Meeting Summary 2 12/11/07  CCWG MEMBER PRESENTATINOS Leo Miras presented some recent newspaper clippings on Climate Change, particularly the fourth IPCC report. Chris Schodowski presented a brief explanation of Leviton’s data center power management technology.  MEASURES EVALUATION Energy- Preliminary Recommendations The working group deliberated over which energy measures should be added to the list of “preliminary recommendations.”  NEXT MEETING It was decided that the next working group meeting would take place on Wednesday December 12th as originally planned.
