HomeMy WebLinkAbout2018/03/06 Item 4 - Written Communications - AcerroThank-you John. You care about the residents and the reputation of the city. You voted against cannabis. The rest of you are living in la la land or are so frightened about lack of funds
that you don't care about anything except possible money which won't be spent on regulating and educating but pensions your salaries, etc.
and Mike When it takes a year to close down an illegal one that then just finds another site in the city to open up, this is not adequate or good. There have been shootings. People have
seen drug use from their windows. The fumes have kept children from using their yards. Trash has been strewn on private property. Problem pot shops have been more numerous than problem
bars and what has city done-spend 100,000s of dollars in civil court. National City and el Cajon don't have criminal enforcement staff but they shut them down right away. Mostly when
these places are raided they find illegal drugs, illegal guns, people on probation, etc.
This has been going on for way too long and will continue to be a problem.
Also you are endangering our legal businesses who can not compete with rent payments that the pot people can pay.
Unlimited manufacturing and testing is crazy.
The way that you are measuring is crazy. There needs to be a circle drawn around each of these businesses to keep them far away from places that children frequent-schools, parks, homes,
etc. With mickey mouse measurements some of these places will be directly behind or across the street from these places.
