HomeMy WebLinkAbout1951-05-21 PC MINS MINUTES OF A REGULAR ADJOURNED MEETING OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CHULA VISTA, CALIFORNIA Held Monday, May 21, 1951 The Planning Commission met in the Council Chamber on the above date at 7:30 P.L . with the following Members present: Wulff, Drew, Ramage., Stewart, Smith, Halferty, Poulter. Absent: None. Also Present: Citj Attorney Boyer, City Engineer Floyd, Asst. City Engineer Wheeler. It was moved by Member Halferty, seconded by member Smith, and carried, that the minutes of the meeting held May 7, 1951 be approved as mailed. Record of Survey - First Avenue and F Street. It was moved by Member Drew, seconded by Member Ramage, and carried, that the Record of Survey of a portion of Lot 19 of Quarter Section 124 be approved, and recommended to the City Council for approval. All improvements to be installed in accord with the Subdivision Ordinance. Tentative Map - Norman Heights, First Avenue and F Street. It was moved by Member Halferty, seconded by Member Stewart, and carried, that , the Tentative Map of Norman Heights be approved, and that the requirement of a cul de sac be waived for the reason that it appears that future extension of Center St. is expected, and provided that a one foot strip be dedicated across Center St., to be entitled Lot A. The motion was carried by the following vote, to-wit: AYES: Members Halferty, Smith, Stewart, Poulter, Wulff. NOES: Members Ramage, Drew. ABSENT: None. Member Stewart recommended that the Commission go on record as favoring the continuation of Center Street, as shown on the map of Norman Heights, toward the East, and to include this recommendation in the master street plan. Discussion of Proposed Budget - 1951-1952. It was moved by Member Poulter, seconded by Member Stewart, and carried; that Chairman ffulff appoint a committee to work out a budget with the Administrative Of- ficer for the year 1951-1952. Mr. Wulff appointed Members Stewart, Drew and Ramage to serve on this budget committee under the chairmanship of Member Drew. Master Street Plan Assistant City Engineer Wheeler presented plans for an L Street extension to Telegraph Canyon Rd., which was considered by the Commission. Mr. Wheeler also pre- sented a plan for a road connecting Fourth Avenue and C Street intersection with Bonita Road, skirting the City to the North.
