THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF CHULA VISTA, CALIFORNIA
Held Monday_ -.February 20, 1950
The Planning Commission met on the above date at 7:30 P. M. in the Council
Chambers of the City Hall with Chairman Davis presiding.
Present: Members Davis, Fisher, White, Lincoln and Irey.
Absent: Member Melton.
Motion was made by Member Irey, seconded by Member Fisher, and carried, that
the minutes of the meeting held.February 6th be approved with the correction that
the granting .of the Hanan zone variance eliminate reference to the side yard.
Clairevista - Unit "Ct' - Final Map.
The changes having been made as suggested by the Commission when the tenta-
tive map was presented, it was moved by Member Irey, seconded by Member Lincoln,
and carried, that the final map of Clairevista, Unit t'Ct' be approved and recom-
mended to the City Council for acceptance, subject to .check by the City Engineer
as to engineering details.
Lots 27 and 30 - Quarter Section 147 - Tentative Map.
Mr. C. A. Long, representing 11r. W. F. Norman, presented the tentative map
for Lots 27 and 30 of Quarter Section 147. After discussion, it was moved by
-Member Lincoln, seconded by Member Fisher, and carried, that the tentative map
be approved since the adjoining property owner to the North contemplated sub-
dividing and continuing the proposed streets in this subdivision. It was further
agreed that the- subdivider deed to the City of Chula Vista a one foot strip across
the Northerly end of Brightwood Avenue and Elder Avenue.
Correspondence
A letter from the County Planning Commission was read by the Secretary, en-
closing a revised tentative map of a proposed Record of Survey within one mile
from the City Limits of Chula Vista, for the Commission's inspection, and comment.
The Secretary was directed to acknowledge the letter.
Resolution No. 7 - Proposed changes in Ordinance No. 398 - Public Hearing.
This being the time and place set for the public hearing for changes in Ordi-
nance No. 398, the Chairman asked if there was anybody in the audience wishing to
object. There being no objections, the next public hearing was set for March 6th
at 7:30 P. Y. in the Council Chambers.
Flower Street - Opening west of Fourth Avenue.
The City Engineer presented a plot to the Commission showing the proposed
.opening of Flower Street immbdiately west of Fourth Avenue, which would necessi-
tate lLr. William F. Norman decreasing his lot size for building residences. The
Commission stated that if the City Council decides to accept Mr. Norman's propo-
sition, the Planning Commission nmi favors the granting of a zone variance for
the lot area of the two lots.
Adjournment
It was moved by Member Fisher, seconded by Member Irey, and carried, that
the meeting adjourn sine die.
