HomeMy WebLinkAbout1950-11-20 PC MINS MINUTES OF A REGULAR ADJOURNED MEETING OF THE PLANNING C011MISSION OF THE CITY OF CHULA VISTA, CALIFORNIA Held Monday - November 20, 1950 The Planning Commission met in the Council Chambers on the above date with the following members present: Eckhart, Drew, Wulff, Ramage, Smith, Poulter, Halferty. Absent: None. Also Present: City Administrator Bryant, Mayor Kidder, City Attorney Boyer, and Asst. City Engineer Wheeler. It was moved by Member Halferty, seconded by Member Smith, and carried, that the minutes of the meeting held November 6th, 1950 be approved as mailed. HILLTOP VILLAGE - Annexation of. The Planning Commission considered at length, the proposed annexation of Hilltop Village. The Mayor and City Administrator explained negotiations to date for transfer of Hilltop Village by the Federal Government to the City. Member Drew commented that the "freeze" on the transfer of War Housing may continue for many years. It was moved by Member Wulff, seconded by Member Poulter, and carried, that the Planning Commission recommend that Hilltop Village be annexed to the City of Chula Vista if and when the Public Housing Authority reclassifies the buildings as temporary as defined in the Housing Act of 1950. Salisberry Easement - "D" Street between Second and Third Avenue. It was moved by Member Drew, seconded by Member Ramage, and carried that the request .for approval of the proposed easement pursuant to the Zoning Ordinance, be referred to the Fire Department for a recommendation as to the width and loca- tion of this easement, the recommendation to be presented at the next regular meeting of the Commission.
