HELD MONDAY, MARCH 1.49,
The Commission met in Regular session on the above date at 7.30 o'clock
P.M., in the Council Chambers of the City Hall, with Chairman Davis presiding.
I'fembers present: Messrs Davis, Fisher, 'rdelton, Trey, Cloyed, and Mrs.Francas
Guest.
Minutes of Regular meeting held February 75 1949 having been prepared
and mailed to each member of the Commission, and to each member of the Council,
were approved, upon motion by Member Cloyed, seconded by Member Irey, and carried.
REMOVAL OF TREE: The secretary read a letter signed by Mr. Bruce Hall,
requesting permission to remove two black acacia trees from in front of his
property at 319 Roosevelt Street, for the reason same were uprooting the
sidewalk. . Upon motion_ by Member Welton., seconded by Member Guest, the
request was granted, subject to the usual deposit of $5.00 per tree, to be
refunded when replaced virith two suitable trees. Carried.
ZONE VARIANCES - Published at least ten dans -previous to meeting.
1. Upon motion by Member Welton, seconded by Member Fisher, and carried,
Zone Variance request of Mrs. Edith Collins for the purpose of renewing her
request to operate beauty parlor at her residence 160 Fifth Avenue, was
granted for a period of one year, subject to no advertising on the premises.
2. Upon motion by Member Cloyed, seconded by Member Irey, and carried,
zone Variance request (renewal) by Mrs. Dollie Davis, to operate Boarding
House for Men at her residence 194 11G11 Street, was granted for a period of
one ;rear.
3. Upon motion by Member Irey, seconded by Member Welton, and carried,
the request of Charles T.& Marjorie Brindell to renew their Zone Variance
request to operate radio repair shop in rear of residence at 556 Glover Street,
was granted for a period of one year.
4. The request for Zone Variance of Mr. Carl E.Stewart, to construct a
store room in rear of his property at 573 Roosevelt Street, for storing
water-softeners, was tabled,upon motion by Member Welton, seconded by Member
Irey, and carried.
RECORD OF SURVEY - Tentative Map: (Hobart Homes and Messrs Lee & Leschorn).
Upon motion by Member Cloyed, seconded by Member Welton, and carried,
the tentative map of a Record of Survey, was recommended for acceptance by
City Council.
