HomeMy WebLinkAbout1949-08-01 PC MINS MINU'T'ES OF REGULAR MEETING OF THE CHULA VISTA PLANNING COAMSSION Held August 1, 1949 The Planning Commission met in regular session- on the above date at 7:30 P. M. in the Council Chambers of the City Hall with Chairman Davis presiding. Present: Members Davis, Fisher, Welton, Irey, Guest, Cloyed. Ex Officio Members Boyer and Foster. Absent: None. Motion was made by Member Cloyed, seconded by Member Welton, and carried, that the minutes of the last meeting held July 11th, be approved. Tree Removal The following requests were made for trees to be removed--- Mrs Robert V. Dyson 4-20 flower Street Mrs. 0. Erickson 465 "F" Street These requests having been approved by the Park Superintendent, it was moved by Member Cloyed, seconded by Member Irey, and carried, that subject to the usual deposit of $5.00_ per tree, the trees be removed. The $5.00 to be refunded when replaced by trees approved by the Park Superintendent. Resolution No. 2 - Granting Zone Variance relating to 795 Fourth Avenue, Chula Vista, California, to Rath V. McCoy. Resolution No. 2 was read in full, and upon motion by Member Cloyed, seconded by Member Welton, was passed., adopted, and approved by the following vote, to-wit: AYES: Member Cloyed, Davis, Fisher, Welton, Irey, Guest. NOES: None. ABSENT: None. Resolution No. 3 - Granting Zone Variance to Francis A. Smith and Sarah E. Smith. Resolution No. 3 was read in full, and on motion by Member Welton, seconded by Member Fisher, was passed, adopted, and approved by the following vote, to-wit: AYES: Member Welton, Irey, Guest, Cloyed, Davis, Fisher. NOES: None. ABSENT: None. Frank E. Dawson Mrs. G. MacGregor appeared before the Commission with regards to the land- scaping business being carried on by Mr. Frank E. Dawson at 711 Del Mar Avenuep _ Considerable discussion was given the matter and when it was learned that Mr. Dawson had been issued a Business License without a Zone Variance, it was sug- gested to Dors. MacGregor that the neighbors file a petition and complaint with the City Council as the matter ks out of the hands of the Planning Commission. Adjournment Upon motion by Member Welton, seconded by Member Cloyed, and carried, the meeting was adjourned sine die. Phyllis 1. Young, Secretary.
