The Commission met in an adjourned regular meeting on the above date at 7.30 P.M., in the Council Chambers of the City Hall, with Chairman Davis presiding. Members present: Davis, Welton, Irey, Guest. Absent: Members Cloyed, Fisher. Minutes of the regular meeting held December 1, 1947, having been . prepared and mailed to each member of the Commission, and to each member of the CoUncil,upon motion by Member Irey, seconded by Member Guest, and carried, were approved as prepared and mailed. Minutes of the regular meeting of January- 5. 1948, There being no quorum, on account of sickness of the majority of the members, were recorded in the minute book as being adjourned to the above date. -ZONING ORDINANCE: Upon motion by Member Irey, seconded by Member Davis, and carried., recommendation was made that.Council should instruct the City Administrator to look into ways and means of employing a competent man to aid in the drafting of a comprehensive Zoning Ordinance forthwith. REMOVAL OF TREES: The secretary read a letter addressed to the Commission by B.E.Fouser of 109 Madison Avenue, Chula Vista, requesting the removal of two acacia trees from the parking at this address. Upon recommendation of Park Superintendent Chester.. Norman, it was moved by Member Trey, seconded by Member- Welton, and carried, that the above request be granted, subject to the usual deposit of $5.00 per tree, to be refunded when replaced by palms. / TENTATIVE MAP OF SUBDIVISION: Mr. A.A.Riesland presented a tentative Map of a proposed Subdivision.of the Easterly half of ten (10) acre Lot 5, in Quartersection 149, in the City of Chula Vista, California. Upon-motion by Member Davis, seconded by Member Trey, and carried, the above tentative map was accepted, subject to the-usual provisions. At this point Mr. R.R.Cloyed appeared as present.
