The newly appointed Planning Commission met in their first Regular session on the above date, at 7.30 p.m. , in the Council Chambers of the City Hall, members with their respective terms being as follows:- Mr. E.D. Davis Four (4) Years Mr. C.H.Doolittle Three (3) Years Capt. Royden K.Fisher . Two (2) Years Ii+Ir. George E.Irey 'T�Aro, (2) Years Mr. R.T.Welton . . . . . . . . . One (1) Year Mrs. Frances Guest . One (1) Year with AIS. A.A.Rie.sland, .Ex-Officio Member, Yr. DeWitt A.Higgs, City Attorney, and Henry Algert, City E ngineer. Members present; Davis, Doolittle, Fisher, Irey, Guest. Absent: Merabert Ile It on. Upon motion by Member Davis, seconded by Member Fisher, Member Doolittle was appointed temporary chairman. .. The motion. was carried by the following vote, to-wit: Ayes: Members Davis, Fisher, Irey, Guest. Noes: None. Member Doolittle not voting. Absent: Member Welton. Member Doolittle made motion, seconded by Member Fisher,-that Beatrice Taylor be retained as secretary of the Commission. The motion was carried by the-following vote, to-wit: -&Ves: Members Doolittle, Fisher, 'Davis, Irey, Guest. Noes: None. Absent: Member. Ilelton. 10VIOVAL OF TREE: Mr. Edward Shanks of 279 Del Mar Avenue, requested permission to remove a tree from the sidewalk in front of his property., which he stated was dead. Mr.Lynn Love, Street Superintendent, recommended that this tree be removed. Upon motion by Member Davis, seconded by Member Guest, which carried, permission was granted provided Mr.Shanks comply with the City Ordinance, that is , to place a deposit of $5.00 per tree with the City Clerk, and to replace =pith type,of tree to conform with city planning. REQUEST FOR PLATTING OF TREES (Ethel Holden): The secretary read a letter to the Commission by Afars. Ethel Holden, requestifg,that the City plant trees in front of her residence at 463-2nd Avenue. 'The secretary was instructed to acknowledge receipt of Mrs.Holden's letter, and to inform her that it was customary for the property owner to plant trees, and to obtain from the City Hall, an idea of the type of trees that should be planted and which would be acceptable to the City.Planning Commission. ORTON TRPILER PARK: Mrs.A,Iargarita Orton appeared .before the Commission, requesting permission to operate a Trailer Park on her property located on National Avenue between 'rEII Street and "FTM Street on the Nest side, described as Lot 1-IL-1,• Quartersection 162, Assessors Map 25-A. A.Irs.Orton was instructed that she contact first the Fire Department, Building Inspector, and Health Department, before anything further could be done. ZONE VARIANCES: PUBLISHED AT LST ONE a`itEEK PREVIOUS TO I.EETING. (1) Theodore R.& Nadine L.Anderson of 148-4th Avenue, requested pe3mission to operate a Real Estate office at his residence. Upon motion by Member Davis, s econded' by Member Irey, which carried, 'Zone Variance was granted for a period of one year from this date, provided no signs be placed upon the building, However, two signs - each 3t x 2? placed each side of the property and in the ground, were acceptable to the Commission. MR:GLEN UADE - Planning Director of Coronado. Upon invitation of City Clerk, Herbert V.Bryant, Mr. Glen glade appeared before the Commission as guest of the evening. Mr. Wade gave a brief outline of the different procedures necessary for the establishment of a Master Plan and a Precise Plan, and offered to appear at a later date upon the invitation by the Commission, to answer questions that might arise.
