MID HONDAYD FEBRUARY 3, 1947,
The Commission met in regular session on the- above date, at 7.30 P.M.,
in the Council Chambers of the City Hall, with temporary Chairman Davis
presiding. 1mbers present: Davis, Irey, Fisher, Welton, Guest.
Absent: Member Doolittle. City Attorney Higgs, Engineer,Algert, and
Building Inspector 71illits, and Ex-Officio Member Riesland, were present. �
Minutes of the Regular meeting held Tanuary 6, 19479 and of the
adjourned regular meeting held January 20, 1947, having been prepared and
mailed to each member of the Commission and to each member of the Council,
were approved as prepared and mailed, upon motion by Member Guest, seconded
by Member Fisher, and carried.
PROPOSED SUBDIVISION ORDINANCE: 14ember Davis opened up again the
matter- of sidewalks, stating that he wished to rbn on record 10VIo for the
inclusion of sidewalks as mandatory in the Subdivision Ordinance. City
Attorney Higgs was instructed to provide in the Subdivision Ordinance for
the installation of sidewalks as 'a condition precedent to acceptance
of Subdivision Map.
ZOhTE VARLOI CES: Published at least one week previous .to meeting. i
(1) Upon motion by Member Welton, seconded by Member Guest,, which carried, i
the request for Zone Variance by lb?s.Catherine A.Pattison, for the purpose
of' adding to and improving existing living•quarters in existing garage, .
located at 735 National Avenue, being Lot 24, Block 147, in the City of
Chula Vista, was granted.
(2) Upon motion by member Irey, seconded by Member Welton, -which carried,
Zone Variance request by Charles T.& Marjorie H.Brindell, for the purpose
of operating a radio repair shop, hhown as "Brinde114s Radio Service" in
existing garage, located at 556 Glover Avenue in the-,City of Chula Vista,
being Lots 10 and 11, in Phelp's Subdivision,- was granted for a period of
One (1) year from this date.
GRIFFIN PARK: Final Map. - Upon motion' by Member Davis, seconded by Member
Irey, which carried, the final map of Griffin Park Subdivision, was approved
for recommendation to Council, subject to filing of adequate security for
installation of improvements as shovm on improvement plan as presented by
Henry Gierlich, .Engineer.
ru.F.THOI+ AS SUBDIVISION - Tentative n2I Iv1r. Henry Algert, representing
I;ir. T.F.Thbmas, presented to the Commission a tentative Map for proposed
W,F.Thomas Subdivision for their approval and recommendation to City Council, ;
Upon motion by Member Irey, seconded' by Member Melton, which carried, the
tentative map was approved, and recommendation made to Council for their
approval, subject to adequate security to cover the costs of improvements as
shotam on tentative map, and subject to usual practices established in the
h� City of Chula Vista.
PHYSICAL UNIFICATION OF-NATIONAL _LVENUE AZ`s THIRD AVENUE: Some informal
discussion was raised by Member Welton, as to future plans in the physical
unification of National Avenue and Third Avenue, i�hich Mr. 1elton felt
should be included in the Master Flan.
