HomeMy WebLinkAbout1947-06-02 PC MINS MINUTES OF REGULAR MEETING OF THE CHULA VISTA PLANNING COMMISSION, HELD.MONDAY, JUNE 2, 1947. The Commission met in regular session on the above date, at 7, 30 P.M. in the Council Chambers of the City Hall, with chairman Davis presiding. Members present: Davis, Fisher, Gue-st, Welton. Absent: Member Irey. Minutes of the regular meeting held May 5, 1947, having been prepared and mailed to each member of the Commission, and to each member of the Council, upon motion by Member Fisher, seconded by Member Welton, and carried, were agproved, as prepared and mailed. ZONE'VARIANCE: (Published at least one week previous to meeting in Chula Vista Star,) . Mr. A.L;.R'eneau,Jr.,of the Chevrolet Sales & Service Garage made a request for Zone Variance as .it relates to Lots 7, 8, 9 .and 102 in Block "F" of Mohhi.kel s Subdivision, for the purpose of extending present business zone north to include the above lots. The secretary read a letter to the Commission signed by Administrative Officer Herbert E.Bryant, also submitted a plan for the proposed extension, and upon motion by Member Welton, seconded by Member Fisher, it was decided that this matter be continued until the next meeting of the Planning Commission, to be held Monday, July. 7. Carried. ' ZONE VARIANCE - (Published at least one week previous to meeting). Upon motion by Member Davis, seconded by Member-Welton, which carried, the request for Zone Variance by Ned & Mildred Holmes of 786-4th Avenue, described as Lot 29-B, Quartersection 147, for the purpose of transferring present two buildings moved on to their property being 3.27 acres, to living quarters, was granted,subject to the Building Code requirements. REMOVAL OF TREES: Upon motion by Member Guest, seconded by Member Fisher, which carried' the request of Mr. Willis of 711 Elm Avenue, for .permi.ssion to remove two acacia trees from in. front of his property to replace with palms, and upon the recommendation of Park Superintendent Chester Norman, was granted, and the secretary was authorized to write Mr.Willis to this effect, subject to the usual placing with the City Clerk a deposit of $5.00 per tree, until such'replacement. BAY VISTA TRACT: (W.F.Thomas) FINAL MAP: /Upon motion by Member Davis, seconded by Member Welton, which carried, the final Map of Bay Vista.Tract, was approved for recommendation to Council, subject to usual practices established in the City of Chula Vista. MILLAN MANOR (Clarkson) - FINAL MAP: Upon motion by Member Davis, seconded by. Member-Welton, ,which.carried. -the final map as submitted-by Mr.Clarkson and 'City Engineer Algert, was approved, with the exception that ,"Easement for Sewer" be changed to- read "Easement to Sewer and Public Utilities". _ r j DEDICATION OF STREETS: Mr. W.O.Smith and Lawrence C.Kuebler, offered to ,dedicate .streets,.as delineated on map filed with 'the Planning Commission and to improve Chuia Vista Street as shown on said map.- -.
