VISTA- PLANNING COMMISSION, ILD MONDAY, AUGUST lI, 1947
The commission met in a regularly adjourned session
on the above date at 7::30 P,,M. in the Council Chambers of
the City Hall, chairman Davis presiding.. Members present:
Davis-, Fisher, Guest, Irey. Absent: Welton*.-- -
Minutes of the regular meeting held Julr 7th, 1947,
having been prepared and mailed to each member of the
commission.and to each member of the Council,, upon
motion of member Trey,, seconded by member Guest,,
which carried, the same were approved as prep..ared and
mailed,
ZONE VARIANCE Mr.. and Mrs,. Alan M. Brooks made a re-
quest for a zone variance as it relates to lots: lU &
11 of Harry R. leach's Chula Vista Grove, 275 H Street,
for the purpose of constructing &. building 20 feet by,.
36---, feet to be used as &-. metallurigical labora-torye
Notice of hearing was publishedon August 8th, 1247'•
Mr. Brooks assured the commission that there would be
no. sweltering except in an assay furnace and no dis-
agreeable fumes-.-
Upon motion of member Irey,, seconded by member
Fisher, which carried, the requested variance wasgrant-
ed3temporarily for one year*
ZONE VARIANCE DENIED: The request of Mr, ,H,E*. -
Lange fora zone variance as it-relates to lot 17E
Block 1369 386 D. Street, for the purpose of building
multiple dwellings which had been regularly heard at
the regular meeting of the commissioij July 7th,, 1947
and continued for further hearings. and decision was:
upon motion of member Davis, seconded by member Fisher*
which carried, denied,,.
rdr.. Guilbert and Mr. Ralph Berger appeared to
oppose the granting of the requested variance d pre-
sented a petition -signed by eleven residents3o 0�kin
the variance-*. The commission ordered the said petition
2119diwith the papers pertaining to the matter.
RFCORM UF 6URVEY1 Mr. Freak: Fortune presented':_ a proposed
record of survey for the northerly ',5acres: of the west-
-
erly .1 of the easterly of lot 2 of 'quarter section 125
2
of Rancho de la Nacion for acceptance.. The Commission
indicated that it would not recommend acceptance until
it was assured that petitioners had a clear-° title to
the proposed street and until satisfactoryuarantee,
was made that the proposed street would be graded and
surfaced, as a min-4mum.
OFFER OF DEDICATION OF STREET: Mr.. Stafford requested
the Commission to indicate whether or not it would re-
commend a proposed dedicationsof_a street between I
and J Streets, National Avenue. The commission indicated
that it would favorably consider acceptance of such a,
street when Mr. Stafford made a definite offer to
dedicate and to improve the same.
RECORD OF SURVEY: Mr. Henry Algert, representing Mr.
Laurence C. Kuebler, presented a record of survey map
of Lot 12 of J section 136 which on motion of member
Davis, seconded' by -member-Irey, which carried, was
approved-and recommendation made to the Council for
its acceptance,
\ ADJOURNIENT: Upon motion by member Fisher seconded
. ' by member Irey, which carried, the meeting was_ adjourned
sine die .. It was understood that the next regular meeting
date would f all- on September 2nd, 1:9470
