The Commission met in regular session on the above date , at 7.30 P.1/1. , r" in the Council Chambers of the City Hall, with chairman Davis presiding. Members present: Davis , elton, Guest, Trey. Absence Member fisher. IU+".er.iber Doolittle having moved out of the city on account of health. Minutes of the adjourned regular meeting held March 17 , 194:7 , having been prepared and mailed to each member of the Commission, and to each Member of the Council, viere approved as prepared and mailed by the following vote, to-vit: " -yes: Hembers Guest , Irey, Uelton, Davis. Noes: None. ibsent: I16embers Fisher and Doolittle. RM,J-O_V''�L OF THM—S: Trus.Sheresh of 49-2na .��.ve- , having a:_.ace request for the removal of a. pepper tree from in front of her property, stating her reason being that her little girl suffers hay fever noticeably after having been around this pa-rticular_.gree. s.t the suggestion of idearlber Welton, the secretary was instructed to ask 1?r.ahe-resh whether she would care to have a patch test made of the child to ascertain whether this particular tree could be the actual cause. I,;[r. James J-.Connolly requested the removal of a papper tree from his parkway, and upon recommendation of Park ,Superintendent Chester Norman, it was moved by Iviember Davis, seconded by Member lVelt on, that same be granted, subject to the replacement of a tree satisfactory to the Commission, and the deposit of �5 being made to the city clerk, until such replacement is made. Carried. Thesecretary read a report made by L!ember .elton on his findings relative to the trees on the 600 block of Del 1hr I'venue, this extensive study having been made after the request of Dr. Karl Kellogg to remove three black acacia trees from in front of his residence at 669 D61 IMiar :.venue. t.cting upon I:�Bmber Uelton's suggestion, it was moved by Member Davis, seconded by Member Guest, carriec that the three trees mentioned in Dr.Kellogg's request, be removed, to be replaced with Palms. IVEELL.LIT hl.,}NOR: 'I'a7i'AT=q hIA: Mr.Thomas Clarkson presented to the Commission a tentative map of 1Eillan Manor for their acceptance. Upon motion by Member Irey, seconded by liember Davis, and carried, the tentative map as presented was accepted for recommendation to the council. RESOLUTION OF AFF�TECIt=�TION TO i1�0`ii OF FOS ii I:IffiSBER DEFOP,F{�ST IITH: Former 1:Iember, H.DeForrest Smith, having passed away April 4, 1947, it was moved by I-lember Welton, seconded by Mam_ber West , and carried, that a Resolution be drafted in appreciation of the services rendered the Chula Vista Planning Commission throughout 1J!r.,Smi th's long membership. The City Attorney was thereupon instructed to preY)are Resolution as above. FENCE Oi\T CITY :PROPERTY - .'_l's Trailer Haven. Ivs.Roy ;Warren appeared before the Commission with a request that measures be taken regarding a fence izhich he states is on City property, built by Mr.Berger. of Al's Trailer raven on National Lvenue and Orange. The Commissionas a whole recommended that Engineer A lgert ascertain as towhether the dente is on city property, and, if so, to notify Iir.Higgs , City Attorney, who will take steps for removal of same.
