Members present: Tole-nson, Griffin, Davis, Cotton, IIrey. Absent: Member Starkey.adjourned Minutes of the/regular meeting held April 15, 1946, having been prepared and mailed to each member of the Commission, were approved as prepared and mailed. RULOVAL OF TFEE: Upon motion by.Member Tohnson, seconded by Member Griffin, and carried, the request .for removal of tree by TZr.Seavello at 332 "E" Street, was granted, provided no signers are erected nor the parking of cars allowed in the space left by the removal of this tree. ZONE VARIANCES: Published one week previous to meeting: (1). Upon motion by Member Griffin, seconded by Member Davis, and carried, the request for. Zone Variance by H.F.Hatz, on the Easterly line of Lot 30-B, Quartersection 139, being 310 feet East of Third avenue, and North ,of IlKll Street , for the purpose of erecting Cold Storage plant, was granted. (2). Upon motion by Member Irey, seconded by Member Griffin , and carried, the request for Zone Variance of Harrison and Pearl Vinson, for the purpose of operating a Rest Home at 498 "H" Street, and the necessary requirements having been adhered to, at the request of the Cormnission at their last meting held April 15, 1946, the above request was granted. (3). Upon motion by Member Griffin, seconded by Member Tohnson, and carried, request for Zone Variance by Mr. James Zurcher, for the purpose of placing warehouse on the rear of his residence lot 30, in Dyer Tract, at 284 Church Street, was granted. (4). Upon motion by TvTember Cotton, seconded by Member Irey, and carried, request for Zone Variance by Warren F.Thcmas for the construction of a 50 x 100 feet Concrete and corrugated iron building to be located on the west 150 feet of 10 acre subdivision 600 block on "T" Street, being Lot 8 of Quartersection 164, for the purpose' of light manufacture and experimental work, Upas granted. (5). Upon motion by Member Davis, seconded by Member Trey, and carried, the request fpr Zone Variance of Harold O.Phelps to manufactmre toys under a small scale in workshop at rear of his residence at 240 Seavale, being Lot 10 in Block 2 of Seavale Subdivision, was granted. (6). Upon motion by Member Griffin, seconded by Member Tohnson, and carried, Zone variance request of Messrs Warren 8, Mathews, for the purpose of establishing business in the sale of farm supplies, being Lot 31-!;2, Block 139, to be knovm as 341 K Street; was granted. UECKER SUBDIVISION NO.2 I/Lr. E.C.Kanters, representing Mr.Uecker, presented tentative maps for above subdivision. Upon motion by Member Tohnson, seconded by Member Davis, and carried, the tentative maps were recommended for Council approval, subject to the furnishing of a deposit and other security for improvements in conformity to the established practices in the City of'Chula Vista. . MIRA FLOBES GARDENS: Mr. Herbert Berger presented tentative maps relative to the above named Subdivision, being the East 185 feet of Lot 17 in Quartersection 136, in the City of Chula Vista. Upon motion by Member Imy, seconded by Member Griffin, and carried, recommendation was made for City Council's approvals of the above tentative maps as outlined. COUNTRY CLUB k-ECCA SUBDIVISION: Mr. Henry Algert, representing Mr.Long, appeared before the Commission, presenting tentative maps for above proposed subdivision. — _ Upon motion by Member Tohnson, seconded by Member Irey, and carried, approval by City Council was recommended of the tentative maps, as shoiAm, subject to curb and gutter, and sidewalk, and subject to restrictions as set forth, also the grading and oiling of alley, and paving of street with the same material as now existing. BEASLEY SUBDIVISION: Upon motion by Member Davis, seconded by Member Griffin, and carried, tentative maps showing the above subdivision, on Parkway between Fourth and Fifth Avenues, was recommended for approval of the City Council, subject to improvements in conformity to the established practices in the City of Chula Vista' and the furnished of a bond or other security for such improvements.
