PLANNING COTZAISSION OF 'i CITY OF CHULA. VISTA,
CALIFORNTA, IMD MAY 72 1945
The Commission met in regular session on the above date, at
7.30 P.M. , in the Council Chambers of the City Hall, with Chairman
Johnson presiding. Present: Members Johnson, Griffin, Chase, Parke,
Starkey, Smith; Ex-Officios Ries-and and Bryant, and City Attorney
Keith Atherton., Absent: None.
Minutes of the regular meeting held April 2, 1945, having been
prepared and mailed to each member of the Commission, were approved as
prepared and mailed.
RECODR EFDATION"TO IZ(MON"STREET: Mr. T.H.Tompkins appeared
before the Commission, reque sting that they r6commend City Council to
abandon street, being the extension on Glover Avenue , described as that
portion of Glov6tStt, beginning 333.63 feet south on center line of
"E" Street South 330.63 feet to the intersection of Glover Street and .
school property.
ZONE VARIANCE: The clerk read a petition signed by seven (7)
property owners , neighboring 271 Alvaradd Street, in which they expressed
themselves against the granting of a temporary license to Mr. Lynn
Van Deveer at this address, for the carrying on of a garage business.
Mrs. Van Deveer thereupon appeared before the Commission
presenting a letter she had written to a number of adjoining property
owners, on the back of which were the signatures of such persons,
having no objection to same.
Upon motion by .Member Chase, seconded by Member Griffin, which
carried, the matter was tabled with instructions that Mr.Ray investigate
the property at 271 Alvarado Street, and report back to the Commission
at its next Regular meeting.
UECKER'S SUBDIVISION: Mr.Kanters , Civil Engineer, appeared
before the Commission representing Mr.Uecker, with a tentative map showing
proposed Subdivision, to be= known as IlUecker's Subdivision".
Upon motion by Member Starkey, seconded by Member Tohnson, which
carried, it was recommended that City Council accept the tentative map of
the proposed Subdivision, subject to approval on deed restrictions to be
written in Deeds issued by-Mr.Ueeker.
ORCHID FARM ZONE VARIANCE: The clerk read a letter from
Mr. G.S.Moore,Tr,, of 4525 Alice Street, San Diego 5, California, in which
he made request for a Zone Variance on property described as a portion of
Lot 6-A, Qaartersection 123, between First Avenue and Hilltop Drive, and
between "G" and "H" Streets' as per sketch attached to letter.

Upon mption by Member Griffin, seconded by Member Tohnson,
it was suggested the letter be tabled until further investigation.
PARES PLAN: Member Smith presented to the Commission
a very comprehensive program on his findings regarding the general
landscaping piens offered by various citizens.
MASM SEI ER PIAN: 11?. E.L.Freeland appeared before the
Commission with a Master Sewer Plan which he had prepared.'
Upon motion by Member Chase, seconded by Nbmber Griffin, which carried,
recommendation was made that the City Council accept the Master Sewer
Plan as prepared by 14b?.Freeland, Engineer,
