OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF
CHULA VISTA, CALIFORNIA
Held Monday, March 21, 1955
The Chula Vista Planning Commission met in the Council Chamber at Civic Center
at 7:30 P.M. on the above date with the following Members present: Mohr, Farris,
Young, Perrin, Raitt. Absent: Members Trook, Henninger.
APPROVAL OF MINUTES
It was moved by Member Perrine, seconded by Member Farris and unanimously carried,
that the minutes of the meeting held March 7, 1955 be approved, copies having been
mailed to each member.
.-FINAL MAP - Bella Vista Heights - J. Spencer.
It was moved by Member Young, seconded by Member Perrine and unanimously carried,
that the Final Map of.Bella Vista Heights be approved subject to engineering check,
and with the requirements as outlined in the Tentative Map approved March 7, 1955.
CONTINUATION OF HEARING - Mortuary variance, 651 Third Ave. - M. Dudderar.
Chairman Mohr reported that the applicants had requested that the hearing be
postponed until the meeting of April 4, 1955,
RESOLUTION NO. 45 - Granting Zone Variance to Louis J. Lombardy.
Offered by Member Perrine, read in full, passed, adopted and approved by the
following vote, to-wit:
AYES: Members Perrine, Farris,,- Young., Raitt, Mohr.
NOES: None.
ABSENT: Members Trook, Henninger.
LETTER - San Diego County Planning Congress.
Chairman Mohr read a letter from the above giving notice of the annual Spring
meeting and-inviting all member Commissions to attend. Mr. Mohr stated that a progress
and data report on the Commissions activities for the year 1954_ must be prepared for
presentation at the meeting.
DISCUSSION - Proposed Zone Variance Application Forms.
Chairman Mohr recommended that the -matter be held over until the meeting of
April 4, 1955.
REQUEST - To Amend Zoning Ordinance No-. 398 - Archie Young.
Member Young presented a petition signed by himself and adjacent property owners
on the west side of National Avenue between "H" Street and "I" Street, requesting that
that block be rezoned.0-2 from the present M-1. A lengthy discussion followed. It
was moved by Member Perrine, seconded by Member Farris and unanimously carried, that
the City Council pass an interim ordinance, amending Ordinance 398, to rezone all
M-1 properties lying easterly of the center line of Jefferson Avenue, lying between
1PD" Street and Flower Street, , and the prolongation of that center line, to the City limits
north and south, to C-2' with the provision that any existing non-conforming use be
allowed to continue indefinitely-and to expand to the extent of their existing deeded
property, as of the date of said interim ordinance.

It was moved by Member Raitt, seconded by Member Farris and unanimously carried,
