HomeMy WebLinkAbout1955-01-17 PC MINS MINUTES OF A REGULAR ADJOURNED MEETING OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CHULA VISTA, CALIFORNIA Held Monday, January 17, 1955 The Chula Vista Planning Commission met in the Council Chamber at Civic Center at 7:30 P.M. on the above date with the following Members present: Mohr, Farris, Young, Henninger, Trook. Absent: None. Also Present: City Administrator Floyd, City Councilmen Mansell, DeGraaf, Smith, Rader, DeWolfe; Principal Civil Engineer Johnson. APPROVAL OF MINUTES It was moved by Member Trook, seconded by Member Young and unanimously carried, that the minutes of the meeting of January 31 1955 be approved with the following correction: in the discussion on the proposed County trailer ordinance, Member Farris stated that cabanas and romadas are not restricted by said County ordinance. Copies of the minutes had been mailed to each Member. LETTER OF RESIGNATION - Member Farris. Vice-Chairman Mohr stated that no action would be taken on Member Farris' letter of -resignation until after the joint meeting with the City Council. MEETING WITH CITY COUNCIL. The City Council met with the members of the Planning Commission in an open forum discussion in which the many present and future problems of the Planning Commission- were talked of briefly. Mayor Mansell stated that the Council wished very definitely to give a vote of . confidence to the present Planning Commission, and. that everything possible would be done to appoint two new members to fill the unexpired terms of Mr. Stewart and Mr. Haimstead. Member Mohr stated that until such time as a City Planner is appointed, there will be a representative from the Planning Commission at all City Council meetings. Member Farris' letter of resignation was not accepted by the Commission. ADJOURNMIITT It was moved by Member Young, seconded by Member Henninger and unanimously car- ried, that the meeting adjourn, sine die. Jeayi C. Steele, Secretary
