The Board/Commission will enact the Consent Calendar staff recommendations by one motion, without
discussion, unless a Board/Commission Member, a member of the public, or staff requests that an item be

immediately following the Consent Calendar.

3.GLENNER CENTER -TOWN SQUARE TOUR AND UPDATE
Glenner Center staff will provide a tour and overview of Town Square.
RECOMMENDED ACTION:Commissionshear the presentation.
4.AGE FRIENDLY COMMUNITIES ACTION PLAN TASK FORCE STRATEGY
DEVELOPMENT
Healthy CV staff will provide an overview of the community outreach conducted for
strength, opportunity and gap analysis.The Commissions and meeting attendees will be
asked to develop strategies to address gaps.
RECOMMENDED ACTION:Review Attachment 3, Commissionshear the presentationand
provide feedback in this working session.
5.PARKS AND RECREATION MASTER PLAN LETTER OF SUPPORT (HCVAC)
Staff will presenta draft letter of support for consideration with suggested modifications
to the Parks and Recreation Master Plan policies to address park access equity through
funding priorities and the consideration of alternative types offacilities such as trails for
jogging and walking in western Chula Vista.
HCVAC RECOMMENDED ACTION:Review Attachment 3 andprovide a recommendation on
approval of the letter of support.

2.PARKS AND RECREATION MASTER PLAN (Chair Cruz and Commissioner de Murguia
arrived during presentation)
Staff Caroprovided a presentation on the draft Parks and Recreation Master Planhighlighting
key components of each chapter.
Commissioners expressed interest in seeing additional language surrounding funding priorities
to address equity in access to parks and looking at alternative methods for physical activity
such as trails for jogging and walking in western Chula Vista.

Staff was directed to prepare a letter of support for the March 14meeting to include the
modifications requested.

Staff Caro provided a presentation on the draft Parks and recreation master Plan highlighting
key components of each chapter.

Staff requested this item be tabled due to time.

Staff Kurz provided updates on the following items:

At 1pm on March 8San Diego State University (SDSU)staff will be
providing a training on strategy and implementation development to prepare for

the March 14Action Plan Task Force meeting. Staff will email details for
interested commissioners.
The Age-Friendly Community chats have been scheduled and Nick will reach out
to commissioners that would like to volunteer to assist at the events. SDSU will
be assisting with facilitation and notetaking.
