PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF CHULA VISTA, CALIFORNIA
March 13, 1961
A special meeting of the Planning Commission of the City of Chula Vista was held at
4:45 P.M. on the above date in the Office of the Director of Planning at Civic Center ,
with the following members present: Weakland, Comstock, Harmstead, Stevenson, Adams ,
Guyer and Stewart. . Absent: none. Also present: Director of Planning Fretz.
EDGEMERE ANNEXATION
Chairman Stewart stated that the special meeting had been called to consider the
Edgemere Annexation. Planning Director Fretz explained the procedure of annexation
of inhabited territory - that the proponents for annexation cannot begin annexation
procedure without first obtaining the consent of the City Council , afteir recommenda-
tions by the Planning Commission.
The Planning Commission discussed the land use of the area and the possibility of sub-
standard lots and concurred that the area. is developed to a desirable standard.
RESOLUTION NO. 202 - Recommending that the Consent of the City Council be Given to
Proponents of the Edgemere Annexation to Circulate Petitions.
Offered by Member Guyer, passed, adopted and approved by the following vote, to-wit:
AYES: Members: Guyer, Stewart, Weakland, Comstock, Harmstead, Stevenson and Adams
NOES: none
ABSENT: none
ADJOURNMENT
It was moved by Mzmber Comstock, seconded by Member Harmstead and unanimously
carried that the meeting adjourn.
