CLEAN Champion Awards 2018 At the meeting of January 8, 2018, the Commission took action to change the name of the awards program, add awards categories, edit questions on the nomination form, and update wording on related materials. Staff presented additional information regarding the impacts of action taken for the Commission's consideration. After discussion among the commissioners as to how their decisions from the meeting of January 8, 2018, could be modified, two new name options were proposed: I.Sustainability Champion -Chula Vista CLEAN 2.Chula Vista CLEAN -Sustainability Champion Award Chair Valen made the following motion: In reconsideration of the listed decisions of the last meeting, my motion is that we change the name to the second option. Knowing that Sustainability Champion Award as a phrase, stays together. Chula Vista CLEAN can be described before or after Sustainability Champion Award. That the award itself has Sustainability Champion above the CLEAN logo, but the CLEAN logo stays on the award. The copy, the wording on the award, presented by the Commission, will stay the same. That none of the promotional printed material or planned promotional printed material that is difficult to change needs to change. But within the award framework the easily made changes from CLEAN Champion Award are made to Sustainability Champion Award. The rest of the motions made last meeting, which are related to the name change, and the additional two categories, remain in effect. The motion was seconded by Commissioner McMillin and carried with the following vote: YES — 7 Kappes, Legaspi, Matthias, McMillin, Mora, Romo and Valen NO -0 ABSTAIN - 0 ADJOURNMENT Chair Valen adjourned the meeting at 6:17 pm Ju1i;Lindsey, Administra r'Secretaryy Page I of] Sustainability Commission Mimdes
