Call Meeting To Order Mayor's Conference Room City Hall Building II. Roll Call Commissioners: Chair Turner _P_, David _P_, Monaghan _P_, Noble P , Chidester P — — III. Approval of Minutes - None IV. Approval of Examination Announcements - None V. Approval of Eligible List - None VI. New Business a. Appointment of Educational Services Manager from Candy Emerson, Director of Human Resources. Ms. Emerson provided background information on this issue. This position will oversee an after-school pilot program. This person will help design the program so that it involves cultural, literacy, and recreation. Discussion continued regarding the after-school program such as staffing and location of sites for the programs. Mr. Noble has some concerns regarding the appointment. Ms. Emerson stated the qualifications and experience of the appointee and her accomplishments with the Literacy Program. Motion to approve the appointment of the Educational Services Manager. MSUC (MONAGHAN/CHIDESTER) 5-0 b. Memo regarding Suspension for FLSA Exempt Employees from Melody Kessler, Assistant Director of Human Resources. This item was tabled until the next regular meeting. VII. Other Business a. Request for Extension of Eligibility List for Police Lieutenant submitted by Ken Dyke, Administrative Services Captain. Motion to approve the request for extension of the Eligibility List for Police Lieutenant. MSUC (NOBLE/CHIDESTER) 5-0 . VIII. Adjournment - to the Special meeting previously scheduled to hear an appeal. This meeting will take place in the Mayor's Conference Room. Appeal Hearing of City Employee (CSC.018) The Civil Service Commission heard testimony and examined the evidence offered by the parties, and the cause was submitted for decision. The appellant left the hearing that was in progress. The Commission met in closed session for deliberations. The final findings will be submitted in writing within 10 days to the appellant. This meeting was recorded by a certified court reporter. IV.
