Chidester P , Veal P , Triplette P III. New Business A. Request for Merit Increase for Charline Long, Sr.Management Assistant submitted by Andy Campbell, Director of Parks & Recreation. MSC (VEAUCHIDESTER) 4-0 To approve the Request for Merit Increase for Charline Long, Sr. Management Assistant submitted by Andy Campbell, Director of Parks & Recreation. • B. Request for Merit Increase for George Fiehler, Construction Specialist I submitted by John Lippitt, Director of Public Works. MSC (TRIPLETTENEAL) 4-0 To approve the Request for Merit Increase for George Fiehler, Construction Specialist I submitted by John Lippitt, Director of Public Works. C. Interview Applicants for the Vacant Civil Service Commission seat. Chair requested this item be taken out of order. Chair David stated that she would like to remind the Commissioner that she would like to see a well -balance gender commission. Commissioners interview the following candidates Sheldon Goldie, Frank Ruffino, Dario Ontiveros, Salvador Saucedo and Barbara McAllister. Each applicant was asked several questions regarding their experience, training and ability to service on the Civil Service Commission. A tape recording of the meeting is available for listening. D. Notice of Appeal of Discipline submitted by City Employee. (CSC.023) Tentative Date: February 15, 2001 Item was received and noted the date for the appeal. E. Notice of Appeal of Discipline submitted by City Employee. (CSC.024) Request to schedule. • Discussion continued with selection of dates and times for the two appeals that have been submitted. Staff will call each commissioner to coordinate schedules. F. Request to Schedule a Training Workshop for New Commissioners. Staff will contact each commissioner for times of availability. IV.
