1. MEETING CALL TO ORDER 5:10 p.m.
2. MEMBERS PRESENT: Commissioners Triplette -1., Chidester P , Silva P , Saucedo P Floras P
Chair Triplette was excused from the meeting.
3. APPROVAL OF MINUTES - The Minutes of the regular meeting of December 9,2004 were approved.

6. NEW BUSINESS -
A. Appeal of Discipline by City Employee (CSC.021)
Kelley Bacon, Assistant Director of Human Resources discussed the date, time and place of the appeal and from which department
the appellant was in employed.
Commissioner Chidester asked if they would be notified of the appeal. Staff responded that they would receive the Appeal Agenda
through the normal posting process. "
Commissioner Floros asked staff to explain the role of the Commissioners during an appeal.
Kelley Bacon, Assistant Director of Human Resources explained the appeal process.
Vice -Chair Silva explained the role of the Chair during ,an appeal.
7. OTHER BUSINESS -
A. City Newsletter and Communication Notices
Newsletter and Communications Notices accepted.

B. Staffing Reports
Commissioner Chidester asked if those individuals marked as re -hired were laid off.
Kelley Bacon, Assistant Director of Human Resources responded that the City has not laid off any employees. Most likely, those employees
left the city and wished to be re -hired.
8. COMMUNICATIONS
A. Chair's Comments
Vice -Chair Simon Silva stated that he does not anticipate missing any more meeting due to his work schedule. He also introduced his
daughter, Gabriela.

9. ADJOURNMENT — 5:20 p.m. - To adjourn to the next regular meeting of the Commission scheduled on February 10, 2005,
in the Redwood Conference Room, 276 Fourth Avenue, Chula Vista.
