6. NEW BUSINESS - I
A. Request for Exceptional Merit Increase for Raymond Salazar, Facility & Supply Specialist, submitted by Doug Perry,
Fire Chief.
Jim Wenzel, Deputy Fire Chief, commented that Mr. Salazar has been with the Department for over a year and a half as a
Facility & Supply Specialist. Mr. Salazar has help to organize the process with purchasing supplies for the Fire Department
Mr. Salazar has created a system with inventory and requisitions to better respond to work orders. He is very well liked and
respected. Based on his performance and dedication, it is requested that he receive the exceptional merit increase.

Marcia Raskin, Director of Human Resources asked if everyone received their invitation to the Boards and Commissions
picnic on September 23ro. Ms. Raskin wanted to know who was planning on attending. Ms. Raskin stated that the picnic is
designed so that members can bring their families. '
Commissioners stated that the picnic was tentatively on their schedules to attend.
