5. Commissioner's Comments
a. QUESTION from Commissioner Redo: Regarding the Town Centre I
project, what monies are collected from new development?
ANSWER by Ric Todd: There is a City ordinance allowing one
percent of construction and reconstruction monies to be set aside for
art. There is action within Community Development to merge Towne
Centre I with Towne Centre Il, but he doesn't know how his merger
will affect the ordinance. Currently there has not been a lot of money
coming in from construction projects. The money that is collected
pays for Ric's salary, maintenance of public restrooms, etc.
The General Plan Update, which was completed in June, is in favor of
the City having an arts center.
b. INFORMATION ITEM: On Thursday, February 12'', Crossroads II
