The meeting begins at 5 p.m. in the council chambers at City Halt; 276 Fourth Ave. The presentation, item B on the agenda, will take place at the start of the meeting. If you are interested and cannot attend in person, you can watch the meeting live on Cox Cable Channel 24 (within the city limits), or on the city's website, at www.chulavistaca.gov (click on Council Meetings). The�-vast majority of people who have contracted hepatitis A in San Diego county are homeless and/or illicit drug'users. The outbreak is being spread person-to-person and through contact with a fecally contaminated environment. No common sources of food, beverage.or drugs have been identified that have contributed to this outbreak. Currently, Chula Vista has had 17 reported cases, a small percent of the 481 cases reported countywide as of October 3rd. I want to personally thank everyone who contacted my office with concerns about how the city ofthula Vista is responding to the countywide hepatitis A outbreak. Thanks to.' the concerns so many of you have expressed, Hand -washing stations have been installed at the following locations:. • Lauderbach Park (333 Oxford St.) • Harborside Park (670 Oxford St.) • Bay Boulevdrd & F Street (Bay Boulevard Park) • Broadway & E Street (sidewalk next to Auto Zone) • Broadway & C Street (West curb line/gate access to river bottom) • 27th Street, south of Faivre Street (the horse staging area on the east side of 27th street) • Friendship Park (Fourth Avenue and F Street) Memorial Park (373 Park Way) • Orange 'ark (1475 4th Ave) . • 1355 Broadway (far east end of lot next to the Carquest Autoparts) • Bonita Road & Plaza Bonita Road (northeast corner of intersection in the horse staging area) • 707 F Street (old Chula Vista Corporation Yard) • 554 Palomar (Westside Community Church) • 345 Fifth Avenue Another station will be installed next. week at Eucalyptus Park, at Fourth Avenue and C Street.
