RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CHULA
VISTA AUTHORIZING THE RECREATION DIRECTOR TO
INCREASE THE HOURS OF OPERATION OF NORMAN
PARK CENTER TO ACCOMMODATE A REQUEST BY
CHULA VISTA ADULT SCHOOL, AND AMENDING THE
FISCAL YEAR 2003 BUDGET BY APPROPRIATING $2,300
IN UNANTICIPATED REVENUE
WHEREAS, currently the Norman Park Center is open until 10:00 p.m. on the first
Thursday of each month and closes to the public at 4:00 p.m. on the remaining Thursdays; and
WHEREAS, the Chula Vista Adult School, operated by the Sweetwater Union High
School District, is proposing to offer two classes on Thursday nights at Norman Park Center; and
WHEREAS, the adult school will provide the City with a minimum of $2,300 annually to
offset all increased staffing costs and increased utility costs; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Chula
Vista does hereby authorize the Recreation Director to increase the hours of operation of Norman
Park Center to accommodate a request by Chula Vista Adult School.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Fiscal Year 2003 Budget is hereby amended by
appropriating $2,300 in unanticipated revenue from the Chula Vista Adult School.
