7. ACTION ITEMS
• On Monday March 26" 2007, A.Y. Casillas, Gene Pellerin and John
Acosta will meet at McDonalds in Bonita Valley to discuss the Chula
Vista Street naming program and set a course for the future of the
program. Five veterans whose names are the same as Chula Vista
Streets have been honored by adding a U.S. Flag logo on the street
signs.
• The Chula Vista Veterans Home Support Foundation has received
enough grants to purchase lifting slings, a lifter and other items needed
by the home. The order for these items has been placed with the
appropriate providers.
• The Chula Vista Memorial sponsored by Councilman John McCann is
still a viable project. The memorial is to be placed in the courtyard of the
Chula Vista Municipal Center.
• The Chula Vista Veterans Home Support Foundation golf tournament is
scheduled for April 91h 2007.at the East Lake Golf Course. All planning is
complete, a large number of businesses and organizations have
contributed items and money to support the event.

• ADJOURNMENT: The next Chula Vista Veterans Advisory Commission
meeting will held at the Chula Vista Veterans Home on April 17, 2007.
8. The Veterans Advisory Commission will adjourn to the next regular meeting
scheduled on April 17, 2007 at 6:00 PM, in the Chula Vista Veterans Home located at
700 East Naples Court, Chula Vista 91911
